The University of Santo Tomas joins the entire Thomasian community in praying for the eternal repose of the soul of its Centenarian Alumna, Ms. Amadea Elviña Medina (1911-2011), who became an inspiring part of our Quadricentennial celebrations. She delighted the whole Thomasian community as she displayed her wit in her interview during the Quadricentennial Program at the UST Grandstand on 27 January 2011. She was also an honored guest in the Q Grand Alumni Homecoming Dinner on 28 January 2011, where she led the cutting of the cake replica of the UST Main Building. She graduated from the University in 1933 with a degree in BS Education Magna cum Laude. She passed away at the UST Hospital on 22 July 2011, Feast of Mary Magdalene.
